Bad Romance Novels, and Marvel Fic Archiving

I got through everyone's Bad Romance Novel meme requests.

[livejournal.com profile] odditycollector requested Amanda Waller and got Amanda/Boomerbutt.
[livejournal.com profile] tiamatschild requested J'onn J'onzz and got J'onn/Aquaman.
[livejournal.com profile] sparklebutch requested She-Hulk and got Jen/Pug.
[livejournal.com profile] mizzmarvel didn't have to specify; she got Golden Age Human Torch/Namor.
[livejournal.com profile] littledarkvoice asked for Power Girl and got Karen Starr/Carol Ferris.
[livejournal.com profile] ratcreature asked for Final Night and got Hal/Ollie.
[livejournal.com profile] poisonivory asked for Guy Gardner and got Guy/G'nort.
[livejournal.com profile] harmonyangel asked for Captain America and got Cap/Tony Stark.
[livejournal.com profile] scriviner asked for 52 and got Fifty-Two Weeks of Love: an Anthology.
[livejournal.com profile] blinkytreefrog asked for James Jesse and got Trickster/Piper.
[livejournal.com profile] mississippienne asked for Baron Zemo and got Helmut/Captain America.

In other news, I've uploaded my Marvel fic to the Marvel Fanfiction Archive. Y'all should go check it out. Especially the fic I posted here last week, but, you know, the rest of the stuff there too. :)

I'm debating putting up some of my shorter, more incidental things (the Marvel ones that is): on the one hand, I've got quite a few of them (proportionate to my total production, anyway) and some of them at least are probably worth polishing and putting up somewhere more permanent (since stuff put in comments especially can be easy to lose and hard to link to).

On the other hand, there *are* quite a few of them and some of them don't work terribly well out of context. And I would feel kind of spammy. Plus, the archive has a special "drabble" section--but defines that as >200 words. Not to get into *that* semantic dispute, but most of my "incidental" stuff is between 200 and 700 words, and would therefore go into the full-fledged "fic" section and feel a little out of place.

Thoughts?

Oh! With the drabble thing? I checked, and if you want, you can post them all there. Also, though, is fine to put them in the fic section :) Whichever you would like! And please do post them!! ::makes cute face::

So there's not a clear divide? *confused now*

I'll go through and see what I wouldn't be embarrassed to post. :)

We just don't want fics of less than 200 words in the "Fic" section, is all.

And we're still kind of learning--it's only our third day open. ::giggles::

Oh okay. So there's a lower boundary on fic but not an upper boundary on drabbles?

Learning is just fine. :)

[identity profile] inathunderstorm.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! That sounds right! Anything below 200 words should *definitely* be a drabble, but it's up to you where you'd like to put them if they exceed that number.

[identity profile] caiusmajor.livejournal.com 2007-04-13 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, I'm putting 'em up and there are a few more characters I need listed: Namor (the Sub-Mariner), Jim Hammond (Golden Age Human Torch), Jack Monroe, and Captain America of the fifties (who has no real name recorded).

Thanks again for establishing the archive! :D

[identity profile] caiusmajor.livejournal.com 2007-04-13 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Jack Monroe is Bucky of the fifties and Nomad.

[identity profile] inathunderstorm.livejournal.com 2007-04-13 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
All have been added, thank you so much!!!

I'm debating whether to upload all of mine or not. The bulk of them would fit under the general drabble category. *ponders*

[identity profile] wabbitseason.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It may take awhile. I wrote *a lot* of drabbles.
