I had a dream last night where Marvel had released a trade which accidentally included two issues of Captain America that hadn't come out yet. And at the end of it Sam Wilson and Sharon Carter were TOTALLY smooching!
I think I officially sort of ship them now. And I wouldn't be surprised if Brubaker went there, what with the his answer in the director's cut of Captain America 25 to what Falcon's role in the book was being "He's being a rock for Sharon." And, uh. The part where he totally CLIMBED INTO HER WINDOW, which is obs. an indication that they're going to start doing it any minute now.
(It's not likely to WORK, because they'll both be thinking about Steve. But it's hella likely to HAPPEN.)
But the rest of the dream was occupied with wondering how Marvel could do such a thing and talking to the comic shop guy about reducing orders on those two issues once they came out in floppy. (And wondering whether to buy them ANYWAY for completeness' sake.) Because I am just that sort of pathetic geek.
In other Falcon-related news! Y'all should go put in prompts for the Characters of Color Love Fest!
Which...I will probably go do, once I stop feeling horrifically self-indulgent for either (a) being All Sam Wilson, All the Time or (b) running around and suggesting all sorts of random people the poor multifandom organizers have never heard of, like Skyrocket and Josiah Power (hella hot and awesome but both from The Power Company which lasted, like, eighteen issues) and Amazing Man (clearly we need fic about the third-stringer who won Maxima's hand!).
Multifandom things make me self-conscious.
In completely NON Falcon-related news, I got a lovely postcard from
poisonivory! Which was actually confusing for a minute 'cause it was under her real name and not fannish except in a YAY ITALY way, but, dude. YAY ITALY! Also, old maps = win. Thanks,
poisonivory!

I... think I'd like to see something along these lines happen, but I'm not sure. I will see where Captain Brubaker steers this ship, I guess.

I don't know, maybe there should be a special COC challenge for obscure comic book characters? *g* Because all three of those characters deserve way more attention than they get. (Yes, Will included. There was a surprising amount that was good in EJ, if you excluded the art, and Will being sane and sensible and also falling for Maxima was definitely on the list.)
...on the other hand, Amanda really *does* need to get laid. *g* I can hear her hapless staff (in any time period or any universe, Amanda has a hapless staff) plotting now...

And yes. Amanda does. This is one of the essential facts of the multiverse.

But I would be so excited if that happened! With extra issues! And plot twists! Wonderful.
Sorry for the rambling. 12:04 am.
