2. That makes sense. It seems like he's usually loyal (ignoring the continuities where he's Starscream-level traitorous), but almost no canon has them around each other, even if it's not strictly cybertron and earth.
He's loyal in the cartoons and treacherous in the comics. Actually I think G1 cartoon Shockwave might have been way more like Marvel Shockwave if (like Marvel Shockwave) Megatron had taken him on the Nemesis with him rather than entrusting him with Cybertron.

Well he did disappear after the movie, so it makes sense something happened to him.
Usually I assume "something" = "Unicron, or some random Autobot", but I think there's an interesting fic in "Cyclonus kills Shockwave." But I'm nowhere near figuring out what happened between TFTM and FF0D.
