Inquiry for the Batfans
Jun. 7th, 2007 04:02 pmSo I got a phone message from my brother last night, calling to let me know that his summer schedule has him passing a comicshop every Wednesday and asking for recommendations.
Now, of course, there are plenty of things *I* read and enjoy (and a few I read and yell, furiously, at) that I could recommend to him but our tastes, back when he read comics more regularly, were pretty different.
In particular, my little brother was--is, I suppose--a big Batman fan, until he lost track sometime in 2005.
So--any of you still reading Batbooks? I never really *was* following them for myself (I read my brother's). Anything currently coming out that is actually good? He differs from most of the Batfans on my flist in that he's not a huge *Robin* or *Batfamily* fan--mostly he likes Bruce himself.
(I'm actually thinking I'd recommend he pick up Daredevil--some of the same sort of darkness but I can actually vouch for it being well-written.)
