Well, y'know, I was going to go look through Invasion and L.E.G.I.O.N. and stuff and see if I could piece together an explanation of who all those folks in Rann/Thanagar were. Because I'm that sort of geek. But because I'm a lazy geek, who's just catching up on the Absorbascon, I present this link, instead:

From Buzzscope: New and MORE OBSCURE characters from Rann/Thanagar war!

(Carmen: remember how we were discussing who should *really* be the evil mastermind, and DC's terrible, terrible omission in their quest to drag old incarnations of the JLA through the mud?)

Awwww. Vibe needs fans!

I don't, actually, know if I like Vibe or not, since I've only seen him maybe once or twice; JLA Detroit is somewhere on the long list of comics to read sometime....in theory, though, I find him kinda cool.

Somehow, the JLA annual that introduces the Detroit team was the first comic I'd ever read that contained the 'Superfriends' guys. It's quite good, with lovely art. I ended up being really impressed with Arthur and loved the team he put together. I even LIKED Vibe's put-on accent (it's noted that he talks normal at home-he macked it up for the white boys).

In my defense, I was a teenager at the time. The creative team didn't keep up the standards, though, so I ended up quitting and got rid of those comics. Much to my frustration years later when I became a JLA addict......
