So I've noticed lately that I seem to have the most luck writing things more or less on demand.

Also, while something more ambitious than a flashfic (snippet, drabble, ficlet, or whatever your prefered term is for somehting that's Really Fucking Short without actually being any specific number of words) would be a Good Thing to have started writing, um, awhile ago, school is starting soon, so I'm disinclined to begin (or go haul out) anything ambitious just at present.

SO!

Gimme a character, pairing, situation, or whatever (preferably related to something I've discussed here or elsewhere indicated I know something about--rather a lot of the DCU is fair game, and Certain Aspects of Marvel (Cap/Falc!)), and I'll write you a Short Thing. Probably!

Give it a shot. You'll make me feel wanted!

I mean,t do I have to choose between you writing Bruce/Ollie/Olly, and asking for yet another thing, such as - hmm, I dunno, maybe that G'nort thing just to be evil... or something saner just to be different.. Do I have to choose only one? ;)

Ollie wasn't entirely sure what he was expecting to find in Batman's chest of drawers. Probably something that exploded, or maybe dozens of carefully-laid out, black costume pieces.

A Bat-sock was...not exactly on the *bottom* of the list, far from it. It could have, for example, been the Bat-Teddy-Bear. Or the Bat-lingerie.

But nonetheless, not something Ollie was expecting. Certainly not *alone*, although, come to think of it, a Bat-sock might well disdain the company of *other* socks, and *two* Bat-socks in one drawer might cause the drawer to die of sheer incongruous Grim.

Ollie picked it up, carefully--it might *still* blow up, after all--and examined it. Greyish, with a black Bat-logo--yep, that's a Bat-sock, after all.

He made to throw it back and go digging through the other drawers to see if it had a mate--a Robin-sock, perhaps?--but in doing so, he briefly glanced inside.

And, dropping the sock and slamming the drawer, he yelled. Loudly. In a somewhat high-pitched voice. Okay, maybe he screamed.

Well. That answered the 'mate' question, at least.
